JACKIE STEINMANN
UCLA's legendary hall of fame coach. Inducted into the Collegiate Women's Golf Hall of Fame in 1989, Steinmann coached the bruins for 22 years. In her tenure, the Bruins won 43 tournaments, three conference titles and the 1991 NCAA National Championship. She tutored 15 different All-Americans, three Academic All-Americans and numerous professional players. Twice the recipient of the Rolex Gladys Palmer Award for meritorious service, Steinmann was voted the 1996 NCGA Coach of the Year. She was also voted Pac-10 conference Coach of the Year in 1990 and 1991. In 1989, she was selected as the LPGA Coach of the Year. |
